Ohio Lottery names Springfield’s local educator as Teacher of the Month

The Ohio Lottery has announced that a local teacher has earned the title of Teacher of the Month.

The Ohio Lottery has named Kelly Husted, third grade teacher at Springfield Local Elementary, as its Partners in Education program’s Teacher of the Month.

A news release quotes a parent describing Husted as a “warm, inviting teacher” who loves her students and does everything she can to help them be the best they can be.

“She expects a lot from her students and they respect her for that, especially as they get older. She has many former students who tell her how much they appreciate her and her actions,” said parent Kim James.

For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Husted received an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise and an Ohio Lottery gift card.
