Annual Metropolis Northern New Jersey Honoree Grand Banquet – Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America

On Monday, May 13, 2024, nearly 700 dedicated clergy and worshipers gathered at The Venetian for the annual Metropolis Northern New Jersey Honoree Grand Banquet. During this wonderful evening, His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey recognized more than 150 parishioners in the following categories for their great works and efforts over the past year: Senior Steward, Community, Parish Council, Philoptochos, Religious Education, Greek Education, Youth Worker and GOYAn . In addition, the Metropolis Philoptochos presented His Eminence with a cake in honor of his birthday. In his archpastoral address, His Eminence expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to all the evening’s Honorees for their love and devotion to their local parish, to our Holy Metropolis and to our Orthodox Faith. He spoke especially about our GOYA Youth Awards as they represent the future of our Church, and he encouraged all present to do all we can to continue to nurture our youth so that they can grow closer to our Church and closer to Christ .
